In 2020-21, I was a photography fellow with Exhibit Columbus, an architecture and design biennial located in the remarkable mid-century modernist city of Columbus, Indiana. The original project I made for the exhibition was From the Mississippi Watershed, an exploration of the vast and varied watershed through the systems that connect it and the ways that people represent themselves in it.
The following photographs are highlights from the project, from which you can see more images in my From the Mississippi Watershed gallery.
UPDATE: You can also see additional photographs and read interviews about the project in MAS Context: first, a 2022 feature about the biennial project and, second, a more personal look at Columbus, itself, from 2023.
